Springtime in Snowmass is something special. This fleeting season delivers long days on the mountain, seemingly endless sunshine, a vibrant après scene, and all the good vibes you could ask for. Fun is the name of the game when it comes to spring skiing at Snowmass, and there’s no shortage of ways for every member of the family to soak it all in. Come celebrate the final weeks of the ski season with us in style!

Daily Events in Snowmass Village

  • Extended lift hours for spring! Throughout the spring season, Big Burn and Elk Camp Gondola at Snowmass will operate until 4:00 p.m. The Village Express Lift operates until 4:00 p.m. to the summit, and until 4:15 p.m. to the mid-point of the mountain. With the convenient ski-in/ski-out access from your Woodrun V residence, you’ll be skiing more hours than you ever thought possible!
  • Snowmass S’mores – Grab a complimentary s’more everyday beginning at 3:30pm (while supply lasts), available at both the Base Village & The Snowmass Mall. Yum!
  • Ice Skating in Snowmass Base Village is even more fun under the warm spring sun!
  • Music on the Mall – Taking place every Friday during Après Ski, Music on the Mall offers free concerts showcasing amazing local bands. It’s the perfect way to get your post-ski groove on and celebrate these longer days!
  • If you’re ready for a break from skiing/riding but still want some on-mountain thrills, check out the onsite lift-served tubing at The Meadows at Elk Camp, or the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, reaching speeds up to 28mph. Fun for the whole family!

Spring 2024 Special Events

  • Aspen Snowmass Après Series  – Whether you’re looking to wrap up your day in style or kick-start your evening, Aspen Snowmass’ Après Series offers rotating events across its four mountains throughout the season, with live DJs, unique drinks specials, and more. But springtime après is the best of all! In Snowmass, après events rotate across Ullrhof, Elk Camp, High Alpine, Two Creeks Cafe, and Lynn Brit Cabin. For spring, the schedule is as follows:
    • Ullrhof – April 5th
    • Elk Camp – April 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th and 14th
    • Lynn Britt Cabin – April 4th, 5th and 6th
    • High Alpine – April 6th
  • Snowmass Sunset Skiing, April 6th – For its second-to-last Saturday of the season, Snowmass Mountain is open late for sunset skiing, with both the Village Express Big Burn Lifts running until 6:00 pm. Mountain crew will also be serving up free hotdogs at the top of Sam’s Knob, beginning at 4:00 pm, while supply lasts!
  • NASTAR National Championship, April 8th – 13th – Come cheer on your favorite recreational skier as Snowmass hosts the 2024 NASTAR Nationals. NASTAR is the largest public grassroots ski racing program in the world, and a ton of fun to watch!
  • Budlight Mountain Challenge ‘Snow Golf’ Event, April 5th – Part of Snowmass’ renowned Budlight Mountain Challenge series, Snow Golf takes place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm across from Skittles Gondola. This event is free and open to all, with registration across Fanny Hill. The event offers 9 holes total, and participants can choose to play all 9 holes or just hit around the course for some relaxed, non-competitive fun.
  • Budlight Mountain Challenge Axe Throwing – One of the most highly anticipated events in Snowmass’ Budlight Mountain Challenge series – and the final event of the season, this friendly competition challenges competitors to throw an axe at a target and get as close as they can to the ‘bull’s eye,’ with a scoring system similar to darts. Don’t miss out on the action in this free, fun event!
  • Snowmass Closing Weekend, April 13th & 14th – While it’s always sad to see the mountain close for the season, we make sure to go out with a bang in Snowmass! Closing weekend is undoubtedly one of the most epic celebrations of the year, featuring the Elk Camp Surf & Snow Beach Party. This party takes ‘fun in the sun’ to a new level, with dancing, hot tubs, a pond skim outside Elk Camp Restaurant, and more. For any non-skiers in the group, it’s easy to participate too, with free gondola foot passes up to Elk Camp after 12pm.
