Things to do in Aspen Snowmass for a Fun and Memorable Family Spring Break Ski Trip

Day One – Exploring Snowmass Sweetness:

  • After your travel, enjoy a relaxed morning soaking up the luxury and comfort of your Woodrun V Residence, surrounded by panoramic views of Snowmass and the Elk Mountain range. Since your access to the mountain can’t be beat, there’s no need to rush to the lifts!
  • Ski-out right from your rental, and enjoy a full day of skiing or riding on Snowmass’ 3,000+ incredible acres of terrain. (Don’t forget to purchase your lift tickets in advance and save!) With its huge variety of terrain, there’s plenty of runs for everyone in the family, from the littlest kiddos or those new to the sport, to the most expert skiers and riders in your group.
  • When you’re ready for a break, enjoy lunch at the Lynn Britt Cabin (open 11am to 2:30 – reservations required!), a true Snowmass gem providing stunning views, delicious eats, and a one-of-a-kind experience on the mountain. The cabin is also open for après skiing from 2:30pm to 4pm (no reservations required), offering après food specials, fire pits, and an outdoor lounge.
  • In the evening, enjoy all the magic Snowmass Village has to offer. Snag free Snowmass S’mores at any branded cart throughout the Base Village and Snowmass Mall. Experience ice skating at one of two free ice rinks – the perfect evening activity for the whole family. Finally, treat yourselves to one of the many top-notch dining options available right in Snowmass. Some of our personal favorites include Kenichi Snowmass, Venga Venga, and New Belgium Ranger Station.

Days Two & Three – More Skiing and On-Mountain Snowmass Goodness, Right From Your Door:

  • Enjoy more world-class skiing and riding on the slopes of Snowmass, where the variety allows you to ski new trails each day, all day long. With the convenient ski-in/ski-out access of all Woodrun V Residences, coming in and out for breaks, snacks, or checking in with family is a breeze!
  • If you’re ready for a break, or looking for some different on-mountain thrills with fun for the whole family, check out the onsite lift-served tubing at The Meadows at Elk Camp, or the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, reaching speeds up to 28mph.
  • In the afternoon, hang at Elk Camp for all things après ski. Enjoy drinks on the patio, spacious seating areas, more S’mores and ice skating for the kids, and festive celebrations – followed by super easy access right back to your townhome at Woodrun V.
  • Check out another great restaurant from the extensive Snowmass dining list, or enjoy a night in, cooking in the beautiful and spacious kitchen of your residence, followed by a long hot tub soak under the stars!

  • After a few big days of skiing, you may be ready for some fun off the slopes. There are TONS of off-the-mountain activities available in Aspen Snowmass, for both parents and kids alike.

Day Five – Parents’ Day Out:

  • While Snowmass is one of the most family-friendly ski resorts around, sometimes the adults are ready for a kid-free day. In that case, there’s plenty of options to ensure the kids are taken care of while you enjoy some hard-charging adult time on the slopes.
  • If the kiddos want their own ski day, lock down lessons for them. They’ll have a blast skiing with the Snowmass ski instructors, while elevating their skills.
  • If they’d rather take a break from the mountain, the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center at Snowmass offers state licensed childcare, and a fun, kid-centric atmosphere.
  • Several other babysitting/nanny services are available, and can be found here
  • If you’ve got kid-sitting secured through the night, check out some of the amazing live music venue options in Aspen and Snowmass, and dance the night away!
