Simply put, there’s no shortage of things to do outside, and countless different ways to take in all the natural beauty Snowmass has to offer!
For those who are more interested in music, arts, food, culture and events, there are plenty of options too! From the renowned free Thursday night community concerts at Fanny Hill (just steps away from Woodrun V!); to weekly Music on the Mall events at Snowmass Mall; to the Snowmass Rodeo; to beloved annual events like Cidermass and the Snowmass Balloon Festival; and so much more… you won’t run out of things to do in Snowmass in the summer! Not to mention, the weather is unbeatable, with warm days and cool nights, and the sunsets are spectacular. Summer is a great time to be in Aspen Snowmass!

Aspen Snowmass Summer Activities – Ongoing
- Hiking – Countless trail options, from beginner to intermediate to advanced – with plenty of kid-friendly options too!
- Biking – Whether mountain, dirt or road, and from easy to expert, Snowmass offers a ride for everyone!
- Snowmass Village Recreation Center – Perfect for family fun in the sun, with multiple heated pools, a waterslide, climbing walls, a skate park, volleyball courts and more.
- **Note – Woodrun V guests receive free access to the Snowmass Village Recreation Center during their stay!**
- Lost Forest Exploration Center – Located on Snowmass Mountain, the Lost Forest features a zipline, ropes courses, the famous Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, miles of hiking trails, a high-mountain fishing pond, disc golf, paintballing, and a climbing wall, offering family fun for all ages.
- Snowmass Bike Park – With more than 25 miles of lift-serviced trails, there’s something fun for every style of rider.
- Snowmass Free Summer Concert Series – A favorite summer tradition for locals and visitors alike, free concerts take place every Thursday evening on Fanny Hill, from mid-June through late August. Set up a blanket, bring a picnic, and enjoy listening to live music with one of the best views in the world as your backdrop!
- Scenic Gondola Rides – Take a ride up the Elk Camp Gondola, and take in panoramic views of Snowmass, Aspen and the Elk Mountain range as you travel from 8,475 feet at Snowmass Base Village to 9,765 feet at Elk Camp Restaurant. Want to get even higher? Travel by foot to the top of Elk Camp at 11,325ft — the views and sightseeing are unreal!
- Snowmass Rodeo – Celebrating 50 years this summer, the Snowmass Rodeo takes place every Wednesday night, mid-June through late August. Come watch the best in the west!
